Skid Row x Lzzy Hale
Iconic American Rock band, Skid Row, is coming to the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort Event Center.
The band's current lineup now includes Lzzy Hale, who takes over as vocalist. Hale was tabbed as Skid Row's vocalist for the immediate future after longtime band member, Erik Grönwall amicably departed on March 27, 2024. Hale has been the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the Hard Rock band, Halestorm. The group's "Love Bites (So Do I)" won Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance at the 2013 Grammy Awards, while Hale was individually honored with the Inspire Award by She Rocks Awards in 2020.
Founded in 1986 in Toms River, New Jersey, Skid Row's raw energy and rebellious energy vaulted them to the top of the Hard Rock and Metal scene. Originally led by Snake Sabo, Rachel Bolan, and Rob Hammersmith, Skid Row released their first album "Skid Row" in 1989. That first album peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Platinum 5x by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). From that album spawned some of their most well-known hits like "Youth Gone Wild," "18 and Life," and "I Remember You."
Skid Row's second studio album "Slave to the Grind" reiterated the rebellious emotion. "Slave to the Grind" debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 and also reached Platinum 2x status. As their first album was more closely related to '80s Rock, "Slave to the Grind" introduced their own sound as more of a hardcore Metal.
Skid Row's new album "The Gang's All Here" is a revival of everything you ever loved about Skid Row. There's a connectedness in the songs of this album that incorporate both new music and their old style. As new old music can get lost in new technology, Skid Row stays true to their sound. "The Gang's All Here" will rekindle everything you felt that first time hearing Skid Row.
