Gary Lewis & the Playboys with Herb Reed & the Platters

In 1965, Gary Lewis was Cash Box magazine’s “Male Vocalist of the Year”, winning the honor over other nominees Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. He was the first and only artist during the 1960s to have his first seven releases reach Billboard magazine’s Top 10 on the Hot 100 chart. Gary has appeared on various popular television shows including “American Bandstand”, “Hullabaloo”, “The Tonight Show” and the “Ed Sullivan Show”. Gary Lewis & the Playboys have earned many honors including eight Gold singles, 17 Top 40 hits, four Gold albums and they’ve sold over 45 million records worldwide. Gary, along with the Playboys - Mike Arturi, Brad Henderson, Nick Rather, and Bryan Fox – continue to tour and entertain fans across the country and abroad. In 1953, bass singer Herb Reed put together a group of four singers called The Platters, an idea he got from a disc jockey referring to records as platters. The Platters have recorded more than 400 recordings, sold over 200 million records, performed in 91 countries, and have received more than 230 awards from all over the world. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and the Vocal Hall of Fame in 1998. “Only You (and You Alone)” received a Grammy Hall of Fame Award in 1999, with the 1956 tune “The Great Pretender” following soon after in 2002. The Platters also appeared in 27 movies including the well-known Rock Around the Clock and The Girl Can't Help It.
Tickets are $23, $27, $30 & $35 plus tax and an online/phone ticketing fee (this fee is waived when tickets are purchased in the Gift Shop). ADA tickets are only available in the Gift Shop and not online. Tickets in the ADA section are for patrons in wheelchairs and one guest ONLY. If you are not confined to a wheelchair, RCGR reserves the right to move you to another section of equal value of the purchase price. Tickets will be on sale May 10 in the Gift Shop and online.
Hotel packages are available by calling 877-677-3456. Packages are $245 and include a one night stay in a deluxe king or double queen room, two tickets to the show and two dinners at Robert's Buffet.
Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm.
